Finca Viña Tia Luna is about 10 kilometres from the historic Arcos de la frontera, which is visible from the finca. It is situated on one of the highest points in the area and consequently has 360 degree panoramic views of the rolling countryside beyond. The area is agricultural with much of the land given over to the production of grapes for the Gonzalez Bayez company who produce amongst other brands, the famous Tio Pepe sherry. Arcos de la Frontera standing on a rocky outcrop high above the Guadalete river is an unforgettable sight. It is one of the famous pueblos blancos of the area. With its cobbled streets leading up the hillside to the famous sandstone castle where you can enjoy the stunning views to the new town and fertile plains in the valley below. You could be forgiven for thinking you have gone back 500 yeas in history. Arcos de la Frontera has stood here since the Neolithic period and is one of the oldest towns in this part of Spain. It is renowned for its palaces built by the king and gifted to the local nobles during the medieval period. It is only 10 minutes by car from the bustling city of Jerez de la Frontera where the annual Moto GP and Horse Fair are held.
