The small town of Benalup lies in the lush countryside to the East of Vejer de la Frontera on the road to Medina Sidonia.  With a population of around 7,000 it is a close knit community with good shops and amenities.

The roads to Benalup are new and well maintained and it is only some 20 minutes by car to the beaches.  The new luxury golf club, hotel and health spa bring thousands of visitors to the town every year and it is well worth a visit.  The complex offers several different restaurants including Italian and Thai and a state of the art health spa with multi lingual staff.
