Location

The building lies within the boundary of the  city walls and is one of the oldest areas of the city.    It is close to many of the main tourist sites including the Alcazar, Tio Pepe Bodega and museum.  Jerez de la Frontera is most famous for its sherry trade.  Originally established in the 18th century when it traded largely with the UK, the vast income from this trade has made it  one of the wealthiest cities in Andalucia.  This wealth is quite apparent in the proportions of the City with its wide tree lined boulevards, open park areas and plazas which give an air of elegance and sophistication.
