The British Ambassador, Giles Paxman, is getting some press attention re the illegal housing situation in Andalucia.  Following his visit to Jerez a few weeks ago when I met him I got the impression he was serious about trying to do something and not just staying neutral as many Ambassadors do.  There was a visit by two special envoys very recently to Chiclana on a fact finding mission in order to amass information and get a grip on the size of the problem in this area.  Having spoken to one of them on Wednesday last week they seem keen to get things moving to try to relieve the worry many people are suffering over their property.  The link for this particular article is  http://www.typicallyspanish.com/news/publish/article_28025.shtml
