House location

Calle Idelfonso Romero is very near to the centre of Alcala de los Gazules which  lies within the Alcornocales Natural Park.  The Alcornocales (The Cork Oak Grove)  is a vast park of some 167,767 hectares. From Tarifa in the South to the Sierrra de Grazalema Natural Park in the North.  It is not only a haven for wildlife including storks, kites, buzzards, Spanish Impetial Eagles, vulchers, Eurasian Wolves, Egyptian Mongoos, wildcats, polecats, weasels, fallow deer,  roe deer and Iberian Lynx but it  is most famous for its cork trees.  The numerous trees and quiet lush countyside provide a wonderful environment for the wildlife.  The cork from the trees is still harvested and most goes to the wine bottling industry.  The park is a fantastic area for nature lovers, walkers and those who enjoy fresh air and magnificent scenery.
