The Apartment
Stunning apartment with original window features situated on the second floor of a restored historical house in Los Remedios. The apartment is entered through a locking main entrance from the cobbled street to the bright and airy marble floored stair which take you up to the second floor. There are free parking bays directly opposite and a large car park only a few minutes walk from the apartment. While retaining its original charm the apartment is bright and spacious with its own private terrace giving stunning views to the open countryside. The spacious and well furnished lounge/dining room opens on to the terrace and a door leads from the dining area to the new kitchen. There are three spacious double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The apartment is decorated in cool whites, beige and russet and your comfort has been paramount in the fitting out of this luxury property. There is a Moroccan accent in the wall lighting throughout and the light marble floor adds to the ambiance.

Apartment location
Sitting in the old quarter of the beautiful village of Vejer de la Frontera with views across the open countryside. We are close to the Plazuela, Tourist Office and many historical sites of the village. Everything is on hand. Literally a few yards from the door we have a fabulous delicatessen and general store, a selection of banks, bars and restaurants and directly opposite the apartment there is free on street parking which our guests use. All the attractions of Vejer including the Old Castle, Plaza de España and the Parish Church can be reached on foot in a few minutes as can the shops and banks. The town abounds with outdoor cafes and bars where you can enjoy the 300 days of sunshine per year and the beaches of El Palmar and Caños de Meca are only 10 minutes by car. There is a bus service from the bus station (3 minutes walk) to many of the other fabulous towns and villages along this beautiful coast and the cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Gibraltar are easily reached by car or bus.

The local shops are only a minutes walk from the property including baker, internet cafe, fruit & veg, general grocer, gym and video rental. The town shops are a couple of minutes further. Vejer is an ideal town to walk around as you can walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes. The supermarket and bank are 5 minutes walk and the open market is 10 minutes. There are some fantastic restaurants to enjoy including French, Italian, Lebanese, Moroccan and of course Spanish. Some with outdoor seating including the Califa with its beautiful patio garden and all selling local fresh produce prepared to a high standard. Some of the Spanish restaurants and fish restaurants in the pueblo have been established for 50 years and are still popular meeting places for the local families on Sunday afternoon. Small courtyard bars and cafes abound and some bars offer live music in the evening and at weekends if you fancy letting you hair down. The old town is an intricate web of small alleys and arches and the beautiful Moorish architecture is around every corner. The castle is still standing as is the town wall where you can walk along the battlements and take in the breathtaking views. If you fancy a day out why not go to Bolonia and look around the amazing Roman Town or eat at the fish restaurants on the beach. Take a trek into the Alcornocales Natural Park and see the cork being harvested from the trees. Have a day at the Jerez School of Equestrian Arts and watch the horses training to dance in their world famous exhibitions. Enjoy a tour and sherry sampling at the Sherry Bodegas of Jerez or stop off at Cadiz and view its fabulous sites or take the ferry to El Puerto de Santa Maria and walk along the river bank and enjoy some of the riverside cafes.A great day out for all ages is the whale safari from Tarifa which takes you out into the Straights of Gibraltar to see the enormous mammals at home in their natural environment. Alternatively hop on the ferry and go to Tangiers for the day to see the sites and invest in some carpets.

Booking notes
To make a confirmed booking we require 20% of the total rental sum. This can be paid by bank transfer or cheque in sterling or euro. For sterling transfers only you must add 6 pounds to cover bank charges in Spain. The final payment for the property is due 1 month before entry. Payments in cash on arrival are accepted but only with a reservation deposit of 40% paid by bank transfer. Please note that cheques are only acceptable if there is a minimum 6 week clearing period prior to your entry date. We require you to acknowledge receipt and agreement of our terms and conditions in writing. Entry between 1 and 6pm. Departures at 10am.
